Weekend HGV1 Driver

We are seeking reliable and experienced Class 1 drivers for weekend agency work.

You will be responsible for transporting chilled goods to various locations.

We have clients based in Chesterfield and Newark.

This position requires excellent driving skills, minimum of 6 months experience and a strong commitment to safety.

Pay rates from £20.00per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle
• Loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment may be required
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues or damages
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times
• Communicate effectively with transport office and other team members
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding transportation and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driver’s licence and CPC
• Valid tachograph card
• Proven experience as a HGV driver for 6 months
• Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
• Ability to operate a commercial vehicle
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
